Did you know? – Fanta was originally made as the result of a shortage of Coca-Cola in WW2! Its name comes from the German word Phantasie which means “imagination”.

The Coca-Cola company does not use a single identifiable formula for Fanta- in a similar manner to that of Coca-Cola itself.

So- for starters, European Fanta is only 1/3 the sugar content of American Fanta- but there are 16 different formulas in operation in different EU countries- covering the gamut of flavours and formulations – the syrup for which is often made at the same facility (often Greece or Ireland).
